Terms of Service
Clear rules for using Hapnin.
Hapnin helps people discover events and continue with the relevant organiser or provider. These terms explain where Hapnin's role starts and stops, and the basic rules for using the service.

Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service apply when you access or use Hapnin's website and related services. By using Hapnin, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use features that require acceptance of them. Nothing in these Terms removes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
What Hapnin does
Hapnin is an event-discovery service. We collect and organise publicly available event information from organisers, venues, ticketing providers, event directories, and other public sources, then make that information easier to discover.
At the date of this version, Hapnin does not sell tickets, collect ticket payments, run venue entry, or act as the organiser of the events it lists. When an event requires a booking or RSVP, Hapnin normally sends you to the relevant provider to continue.
A listing on Hapnin does not by itself mean that Hapnin sponsors, endorses, represents, or has a commercial relationship with the organiser, venue, performer, or provider.
Accounts and eligibility
Some Hapnin features require an account. You agree to provide reasonably accurate account information, keep your sign-in method secure, and tell us if you reasonably believe someone has accessed your account without permission.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless the activity happened because of a security failure for which Hapnin is legally responsible. If you are not legally able to agree to these Terms on your own, use account features only with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or other person authorised to act for you.
Event listings and accuracy
Hapnin works to preserve source information, compare evidence, and review important changes. Even with those checks, public event details can change after we last reviewed them.
- Dates, times, venues, prices, line-ups, age rules, availability, and event status can change.
- Some events may be postponed, cancelled, sold out, moved, or removed at short notice.
- Hapnin may withhold or remove a listing when the evidence is stale, conflicting, unsafe, or no longer public.
Before travelling, paying, or making a time-sensitive decision, check the organiser or provider source shown on the listing. You can read more about our approach in the Listing Policy.
Bookings and third-party providers
Ticket purchases, RSVPs, payment processing, refunds, exchanges, cancellations, inventory, and entry terms are controlled by the organiser or third-party provider you use after leaving Hapnin.
Any purchase or booking contract is between you and the party identified by that provider's checkout or terms, unless Hapnin clearly tells you otherwise for a future Hapnin-operated transaction. Review the final price, fees, refund rules, privacy notice, and terms on the provider's service before you confirm.
Hapnin is not responsible for a third party's website, payment flow, inventory, customer support, cancellation decision, refund decision, or fulfilment simply because Hapnin linked to it.
Event attendance and safety
Event organisers and venues are responsible for producing and operating their events. They may set their own entry, identification, age, security, conduct, photography, prohibited-item, accessibility, and safety rules.
You are responsible for checking and following the rules that apply to the event you attend. Hapnin does not control the conduct of organisers, venues, performers, service providers, or other attendees.
Acceptable use
You may use Hapnin for lawful personal or business purposes consistent with these Terms. You must not:
- use Hapnin to break the law, facilitate fraud, or violate another person's rights;
- impersonate an organiser, venue, provider, or another person;
- submit information you know is false, deceptive, abusive, private, infringing, or unsafe;
- attempt to bypass access controls, probe systems without permission, or interfere with service security;
- use automation in a way that degrades the service, evades reasonable controls, or creates an unreasonable load; or
- use Hapnin to distribute malware, spam, or other harmful material.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, third parties, or our legal rights.
Corrections and submissions
If you send Hapnin a correction, event suggestion, organiser request, image, description, or other material, you confirm that you have the right to send it and that it is not intentionally misleading or unlawful.
You give Hapnin a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt, and display that submitted material only as reasonably needed to review the request, operate the relevant listing, provide the service, and communicate about it. This licence does not transfer ownership of your material to Hapnin.
A submission does not guarantee publication, create organiser ownership, or require Hapnin to accept a requested change. We may ask for public evidence before changing a listing.
Intellectual property
The Hapnin name, product design, original interface, software, and original Hapnin content are owned by or licensed to Hapnin and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Event names, posters, photographs, descriptions, logos, artist names, organiser marks, and provider marks may belong to their respective owners. Their appearance on Hapnin does not transfer those rights to us.
If you believe a listing or asset should be corrected or removed because of a rights issue, use Corrections & contact and include enough information for us to review the request.
Service changes and availability
Hapnin will change as the product develops. We may add, change, pause, or remove features, sources, listings, or parts of the service. We may also perform maintenance or respond to security and operational incidents.
We work to keep Hapnin available and useful, but we do not promise that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device or network.
Disclaimers and responsibility
Hapnin provides discovery information on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that every third-party listing, source, event, provider, or linked service will be complete, current, safe, available, or suitable for you.
To the extent permitted by law, Hapnin is not responsible for losses caused solely by an organiser's, venue's, provider's, or other third party's acts or omissions, including event cancellation, refusal of entry, provider downtime, payment disputes, or refund decisions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where Kenyan law or another applicable law says that it cannot be excluded or limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms when Hapnin's features, business model, legal obligations, or risk profile changes. The effective date and version at the top of this page show when the current Terms took effect.
If a change materially affects how an account feature works or materially changes your obligations, we will provide additional notice where reasonably required. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means the updated Terms apply to future use of the service.
Kenyan law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, without taking away any mandatory consumer or other rights that apply to you. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be brought before a court or other competent forum with jurisdiction under Kenyan law.
If you have a question about these Terms, want to report a problem, or believe a listing infringes your rights, use Corrections & contact.
